Centrifugal braked descenders must be inspected and maintained at least 1x a year by the manufacturer or by specialists authorized by the manufacturer. The abseiling device usually has to be shipped and is then not available for a long time. In addition, there is also the risk that it will not be stored well or that people will remove parts of the rescue technology. For these reasons, there is now low-maintenance packaging for these rescue devices.

This process can be carried out for up to a maximum of 10 years. After that, the complete suitcase must be returned to TEUFELBERGER. The rope is replaced and everything is repackaged.
