The HAS is a rescue abseiling device with an automatic blocking function and an automatic tensioning and retraction device for the connecting means. It also has an automatic abseiling mechanism. A HAS device can be used for loading activities on tank or boiler scales, if the escape route downwards is free of obstacles. During the work movement, the person can move freely in the retraction and extension area of the device without working against a braking resistance.

This means that no wear is caused on the brake. In the event of a fall, pawls engage in the gear, which is connected to the centrifugal brake. The person is now safely abseiled downwards. In the event of danger, the person can escape from the danger area by jumping into the HAS device and is safely abseiled downwards. The fall dampening takes place via the mechanics inside (brake). The integrated fall dampening ensures an extremely short fall arrest distance and the impact force is reduced to a minimum (well below 6 kN)!
