Cookie policy
Dear User,
The Data Controller following the new Cookie Guidelines and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021 issued by the Guarantor Authority which can be viewed at the following address https://www.gpdp.it/web/garante-privacy-en/home_en and in compliance with the provisions of the European Regulation 2016/679, informs the site users, in general, on the following and in detail, cookies and other tracking systems and technical identifiers used specifically on the site on which you are browsing.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on the user’s hard drive, in detail are text strings that websites (so-called publisher or first parties) visited by the user or different websites or web servers (so-called third parties) place and store - directly, in the case of publishers and indirectly, in the case of third parties - within a terminal device in the availability of the user himself.
Cookies thus uniquely identify the browser of the user or allow access to information on the user’s terminal. As the Guarantor Authority recalls in the measure of June 2021 "... The terminals referred to are, for example, a computer, a tablet, a smartphone, or any other device capable of storing information ... among them we must also include the so-called IoT devices (Internet of Things) ...".
Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies have the function of streamlining the analysis of traffic on the Web or reporting when a specific site is visited and allow Web applications to send information to individual users.
Why are cookies used?
Cookies are necessary for the website to operate (technical cookies) in order to optimize its performance and provide better browsing experiences (navigation cookies). Cookies provide the users with a navigation experience as smooth and simplified as possible, every time you visit the site it is no longer necessary to receive or enter the same information. Cookies can therefore perform important and different functions, including monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, facilitating the use of online content etc. (for example, they can be used to keep track of items in an online shopping cart, or the information used to fill in a computer form). In general, the Guarantor recalls that some of the results pursued through cookies are also reachable by other tools such as "tracking tools" the "passive identifiers" assume the mere observation of the User and, in this way, carry out similar treatments to those of cookies. Among the "passive" instruments is included e.g.: fingerprinting. The information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as a username, a unique identifier or an email address, an IP address, but may also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device that a person is using to browse.
Types of Cookies and classification methods
Cookies can be classified according to the life cycle in:
Session cookies:
session cookies are placed on your computer during the browsing of a website and are removed when you leave the site and close the browser. The cookie is stored in the temporary memory of the computer. Session cookies allow a website to follow you as a user who crosses a website from one page to another. Websites do not have their own memory, but they use cookies for this.
A good comparison is to think of these cookies as keys. When your computer already has the key, the website can immediately let you in, instead of treating you like a new visitor every time you view the page.
This type of Cookies is not stored persistently on the user’s device and are deleted when the browser is closed.
Persistent cookies:
persistent cookies are placed on your computer for a longer period of time. They are removed only after the expiration time of the cookie or until the user himself removes it. This means that, for the entire lifetime of the cookie, your information will be transmitted to the server each time you visit the website, or each time you view a resource belonging to that website from another site (such as an advertisement).
This type of cookie remains on your computer for a longer period of time than session cookies. Persistent cookies can be used for multiple purposes such as storing access details and storing your preferences or settings. Persistent cookies are mostly used to keep track of visitors when browsing a website to "see" what the visitor likes so that their user experience can be improved.
Cookies used by this website
The website uses technical cookies and browser cookies. However, profiling cookies to track the user’s navigation on the network and create profiles on his tastes, habits, choices, etc. are not used. With these cookies advertising messages can be transmitted to the user’s device in line with the preferences already made known by the same user during online browsing.
Specifically, this website uses the following types of cookies:
Technical and Browser Cookies

Functional Cookies
These are cookies saved on the computer or on another device which, on the basis of the user’s request, record the choices made by the user, allowing the cookies to store them, with the aim of optimising and supplying improved and personal browsing within the service or for accessing the website (e.g. recording passwords in restricted areas, registering products in the shopping cart so that they may be found there at the next session, saving the language selected, watching a video or writing comments on a blog etc.).
