Turnbuckles

The turnbuckles are metal devices consisting of three parts, an open or closed central body and different types of threaded ends. They are normally used for tensioning steel ropes, rigging or lashing.

General Information

Turnbuckles should only be used for in-line applications where the forces involved are always in the axis and should never be subjected to lateral loads.

In addition, the turnbuckles must not be subjected to dynamic stresses or pulsating loads and never be used for the direct hoisting.
